Dao Model 703 review, road test

A new EV at the Rs 1 lakh mark. Is it worth considering?

    We Like
    • Unusual, eye-catching design
    • Removable battery
    • Spacious riding position
    We Don't Like
    • Unreliable battery SOC indicator
    • Heavy battery, motor turns off at traffic lightsIToo expensive for what's on offer

Dao EV tech is based in Hyderabad and has a manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune. While the scooter is made in India, using components sourced from local vendors, its Chinese origins are obvious in the way it is designed and finished. The question is, is it worth considering?

At Rs 1.85 lakh, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is the most affordable 40hp bike in India. Would you pick it over similarly priced bikes with less power and features?

Yes, 40hp at this price is unheard of!

    No, it's a decade-old bike in a revamped suit.

Great value but doesn't look unique enough.
