Updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F launched at Rs 91,201

Bajaj has launched an updated version of its Pulsar 220F priced at Rs 91,201 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The biggest update to the motorcycle is to the motor. The bike’s 21hp, 220cc oil-cooled single-cylinder DTS-i engine now conforms to the more stringent BS IV emission norms as against the previously available BS III. Stopping power continues to be provided by a 260mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear.

Cosmetic tweaks to the updated motorcycle includes a new back-light for the instrument cluster – the cluster now lights up blue in place of the older amber – improved seat cushioning and a matte black finish to the exhaust canister.

Earlier in the month along with announcing the launch of the much awaited Dominar 400, Bajaj also announced that it would be updating its Pulsar range for 2017. As per the automaker’s website, the updated Pulsar 135LS, 150 and 180 are already on sale with the 135 and 180 also adhering to the BS IV emission regulations. The Pulsar 180 additionally gets a bump up in power to 17.02hp and a rear disc brake. The three motorcycles are priced at Rs 60,178, Rs 73,513 and Rs 79,545 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
