    Hero bumps up warranty

The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, has announced a five year warranty on all its motorcycles and scooters on sale in the country today. For its motorcycles, the warranty period would be five years or 70,000km, and for its scooters it is five years or 50,000km, whichever comes first. Such a warranty period of five years is the first of its kind in the Indian market.

This move is a step in the right direction for Hero considering the slowdown in the Indian two-wheeler industry presently. The five year warranty period is sure to catch the fancy of many Indian consumers, as this adds value to Hero’s already value-for-money two-wheelers.
