Bajaj Discover, V models will return in BS6 form

Like most two-wheeler companies in India, Bajaj has updated multiple models to meet the now-mandatory BS6 emission norms. That said, two of the company's model lines – the Discover and the V – didn't make the cut and were also taken off the company's website. This led many to believe that these two offerings have been axed, but that's not entirely true, because they are set to make a return in the next few months.

What Bajaj has done is not uncommon. Honda, Hero and TVS have also prioritised the BS6 updates to their most popular offerings first. In Bajaj's case, its lower-selling models in the Discover and V range will also get the update, but at a later date. The company is currently focusing on its big sellers and a few upcoming models; but has no plans to axe either the Discover or the V product lines just yet. That said, the arrival of these models could be delayed by a few months because of the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both the Discover and V model lines have waned in popularity over the years. The last time the Discover was updated was back in February 2019, when the 110 was updated with CBS (the feature became mandatory on April 1, 2019). The Bajaj V15, meanwhile, received its last update back in December 2018, when an updated variant called the Power Up was launched. It remains to be seen how different the BS6 versions will be to these models after they're launched.
