If you can take a hobby you love and turn it into something productive, then you must most certainly be doing something right. Gaurav Siddharth from Lucknow has earned the Wrangler True Wanderer 2016 title and it was by no means a small feat.

Armed with his Hero Impulse, a camera, a penchant for words and an insatiable wanderlust, Gaurav has spent an entire year on the road and traversed the great expanse that is India. Being a Guinness Book World Record applicant, Gaurav intends to claim the title for the longest motorcycle journey in India.

Having already covered about 53,400km of roads across India, Gaurav intends to see that figure cross the 1,20,000km mark. Mile munching aside, he’s been relentlessly putting forth the story of his journey through words and pictures, which can be found on his blog on the True Wanderers website. The first runner-up of the contest is Shreyansh Latthe from Gangtok and the second runner-up is Vishnu Goyal from Pune.

Krishna Dorai, general manager of Wrangler India, and Vimal Sumbly, MD of Triumph Motorcycles India, were at the event to present Gaurav Siddharth with his brand new Triumph Street Twin and the title of True Wanderer 2016.

Speaking on the occasion, Vimal Sumbly said, “It has been an absolute delight to see the content and photographs that the participants have shared. It is their passion and hard work that have made True Wanderers 5.0 a grand success.”
