Triumph has added yet another Tiger to its line-up. The new 2016 Tiger Sport, according to the bike maker, has been developed for commuting, scratching and touring purposes.

The Tiger Sport looks every bit an adventure-tourer, with its half-fairing, reasonable ground clearance, skid plate and handguards. It gets dual reflector-type headlights up front, crowned by an adjustable, tinted windscreen, sculptured foot pegs and aluminium pannier mounts.

The Tiger Sport is powered by the 1,050cc three-cylinder engine introduced on the Speed Triple earlier this year. It produces 123.3bhp of power and 10.6kgm of peak torque, which Triumph claims is available across the rev range.

The engine’s power and torque are accessed by a ride-by-wire throttle management system to improve responsiveness. The bike features three riding modes – Road, Rain and Sport – which alter the throttle response and suspension settings based on the requirement. Also provided are a slipper clutch, cruise control, multi-level traction control and standard ABS.

The Tiger Sport will be unveiled at the London Motorcycle Show on February 12, 2016. However, there is no information on whether the Tiger Sport will head to India.
