Suzuki will unveil two new litre-class sportsbikes in July 2015. This news was first revealed to us by Atul Gupta, executive vice-president, Suzuki Motorcycle India, when we asked him about Suzuki’s upcoming plans for India.
Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated its website with the two motorcycles added to their India line-up.
The faired variant of the GSX-S with dual headlights upfront and a clear visor for wind deflection for the rider will be on offer. The naked version gets a single headlight and no visor. The bike also does not get fairing-mounted rear view mirrors. Six-spoke alloy wheels make way on both motorcycles. Suzuki provides the GSX-S1000 and F with safety features such as traction control and ABS braking system too. A fully digital instrument console also makes way here.
Both bikes are powered by a 999cc, four-stroke, four-cylinder and liquid-cooled engine. For suspension duty, both bikes are provided with upmarket USD forks up front and a monoshock does duty at rear with an alloy swingarm. Suzuki provides the GSX-S1000 and F with Brembo disc brakes up front and a single one at rear. Both bikes will be available in two colours — blue and red. Prices are expected to be announced soon.
