Just days ahead of the MotoGP in Sachsenring, Suzuki has unveiled a limited-edition GSX-R1000 superbike. The bike marks the 30th anniversary of GSX-R line, and will be offered in a special paint scheme resembling the original 1985 Suzuki GSX-R750.
The original with the paint scheme was first used by Kevin Schwantz — the rider who fiercely battled against Wayne Rainey, in the 1987 Superbike National Championship that is still remembered by racing enthusiasts.
The bike was revealed by the Team Suzuki Ecstar Suzuki riders, Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales. In the spirit of the reveal, Espargaro and Vinales will be seen in leathers that match the motorcycle’s livery at the MotoGP race to be held this Sunday at Sachsenring, Germany. Suzuki also says the motorcycle will soon be available in markets around the globe. Details of its availability in India are still unconfirmed.
