The group of Ducati owners who make up the Desmo Owners Club (D.O.C) Mumbai went on their first official ride on June 5, 2016. The ride was flagged off from the Ducati dealership in Bandra via Nariman Point, and concluded at Hard Rock Café in Lower Parel.

D.O.C, the community of staunch Ducati owners and enthusiasts, is named after Desmo, which is short for Ducati’s unique Desmodromic valve control technology. It is one of the largest official motorcycle communities in the world and has over 200 official clubs. The D.O.C. Mumbai is the first in India and the 25th in Asia.

Ravi Avalur, managing director, Ducati India said, “The Desmo Owners Club is intended for Ducati owners but is open also to owners of other brands who are passionate about Ducati. We’re happy to see this community growing and D.O.C.s beginning to expand across India.”

After Mumbai, the D.O.C is all set to roll out in other cities such as Pune, Delhi and Bengaluru. Furthermore, eight D.O.C. Mumbai members will be travelling to the 9th edition of World Ducati Week, which will be held at the Misano World Circuit in Italy to celebrate the bike maker's 90th anniversary.
