The Autocar Performance Show 2013 is back (October 17 – October 20, 2013), and promises to be bigger and better than ever. The annual show has always brought under one roof the fastest, most powerful and beautiful cars in the world, and the 2013 edition of the show will be no exception.

To give you a preview, here are just a few of the cars that will grace the floors this time. For starters, there’s the magnificent Extended Wheel Base (EWB) Rolls-Royce Ghost, the stunning Lamborghini Aventador, a trio of Minis and an onslaught of Mercedes-Benz AMGs (E63, G63, SLS Roadster).

And that’s not all, because, as ever, we’ve got the motorcycle enthusiasts covered too. The BMW Motorrad 650 GS will be on display for everyone to ogle at, as will a modified, old-school bike from Bombay Custom Works and a custom-painted Harley-Davidson from Toolhead Customs. KTM will be displaying its new touring range too, and you can count on legendary bike-maker Aprilia having an awe-inspiring display. So be sure to not miss out on more than 10,000bhp under one roof, and book your tickets now.

Here's a brief glmpse of what you can expect at the Autocar Performance Show 2013 >>

    Rolls-Royce Ghost EWB

Rolls-Royce will display the Ghost Extended Wheelbase (EWB), which is 170mm longer than the standard Ghost, with the rear legroom increased from 1075mm to 1245mm. The extra 170mm has been absorbed into the design without disturbing the Ghost’s elegant proportions. You can also tell the difference over the standard Ghost by way of the slightly longer (35mm) rear door, slightly smaller door mirrors and a different design for the alloy wheels. And in true Rolls-Royce fashion, standard are features like a panoramic sunroof, two individual nine-inch screens to pamper the passengers, polished wood table and lambswool rugs, among others. Chances are, you’ll rarely see this car on the road, so be sure to catch it at the show.

    Lamborghini Aventador

The Lamborghini Aventador needs little introduction. The vitals itself are mind-boggling – 690bhp from a 6.5-litre V12 engine mated to a seven-speed auto, 1575kg dry weight, 350kph top speed, 0-100kph in 2.9 seconds and a Rs 3-crore plus price tag. Not to mention that outrageously stunning design. Everything about the Aventador screams supercar, and there’s little doubt that it deserves its spot as one of the most exotic supercars in the world. We, for one, can’t wait to see it grace the floors of the Autocar Performance Show 2013.

    Mercedes-Benz AMG range

The Mercedes Benz E63 AMG may look like just an E-class with an AMG body kit, but it’d be wrong to underestimate just how much of a hooligan this performance-infused luxury saloon can be. Merc’s in-house tuning division, AMG, has plonked a 5.5-litre twin-turbo engine that produces a mammoth 550bhp and 73.4kgm of torque and more powerful brakes to handle the excess power. That’s not all, though. The G63 AMG and SLS AMG Roadster will also show face, both seriously powerful machines again. Don’t miss it!

    Mini

BMW's Mini cars have always had a huge fan following with the cars being featured even in Hollywood blockbusters. Now, some models of the famous line-up are being made right here in India. Mini will have three of its models, the Mini Cooper, the Mini Cooper Convertible and Mini Countryman at the show. Come drool over these beauties at the 2013 APS.

    JA Motorsports

India’s very own track day car, the JA Motorsports Inde 2.0, will make its public debut at the Autocar Performance Show 2013. We had a blast with it at our annual track day, so make sure you don’t miss out on its debut.

    Bikes

There’s something for everyone at the Autocar Performance Show, and just like last year, there’ll be a range of not just cars, but also the choicest of bikes from around the world. Heavyweights like BMW, Aprilia and KTM will all be there. And if that doesn’t cut it for you, Toolhead Customs will bring a custom-painted Harley-Davidson to wow crowds, along with a custom-made Bajaj Pulsar 150 by Bombay Custom Works for those who love classics. There’ll also be a tribute to the great “Indian Larry”, noted motorcycle builder and artist, stunt rider and biker by Transfigure Custom House.

    MUCK it up

This is where all the action is, and you can get into the thick of it on the 4x4 track with our off-road experts. You’ll be crunching, wading and slamming your way through slush, gravel, water and even see-sawing ramps, in stock Mahindras. It’s the closest you’ll get to a cliff-hanging experience on four wheels, bang in the middle of the city.

    MAKE THE MOVES

Slaloming looks like a lot of fun, and it is. Especially if you’re driving your car through an autocross track in a controlled environment, with tips from professionals. The Maruti Suzuki Autocross – this is one place where you can really kick up some dust.
