Ola S1, S1 Pro sales date pushed to September 15

Ola Electric has announced that the sales date for its electric scooters has been postponed to 8am on September 15.

    • Purchase process delayed by a week

    • Technical difficulties with the website

    • No change in reservation queue

The online purchase process for Ola's highly-awaited S1, S1 Pro electric scooters was set to begin on September 8. However, the company had “many technical difficulties in making their website for purchase live”. The company has apologised to those who waited for several hours.

Ola Electric has said that it has developed a completely digital purchase method, including an online loan procedure without any paperwork. However, it couldn’t go through with it on September 8 because the website wasn’t up to Ola Electric’s expectations.

The company has said that when the website goes live in about a week’s time, buyer’s reservations and position in the queue will remain unchanged. Ola Electric has also said that there won’t be any change in the delivery dates.
