    Mahindra launches Xylo H-series

Mahindra has launched the new H-series Xylo, which is powered by the company’s mHawk engine.

The H-series Xylo is available in three trims – H4, H8 and H9. The H4 trim comes with ABS, the H8 adds dual airbags, while the top-spec H9 trim gets Mahindra’s voice command technology (VCT), cruise control, digital drive assist system, extra stability technology suspension and reverse parking assist.

The mHawk engine, previously introduced in the top-end E9 trim of the Xylo, puts out 118bhp, 29kgm of torque and comes with an ARAI-certified economy of 14.02kpl.

Speaking at the introduction of the new H-series Xylo, Pravin Shah, chief executive, automotive division, M&M, said, “The Xylo has, since its introduction in 2009, carved a unique identity for itself in the area of class leading space and comfort. The addition of the mHawk engine will further boost its performance and take it a notch higher in its segment. Equipped with higher power and better efficiency, we are sure that the new Xylo H-series will be a popular choice amongst the discerning personal buyers.”

Prices for the H-series Xylo start at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
