According to sources, Indian two-wheeler and engine manufacturer, Kinetic India, and Italian sport and superbike specialist, MV Agusta, have displayed considerable interest toenter an agreement to enable Kinetic to retail MV Agusta motorcycles here in India.

The two brands share a relationship that goes back a few years. Kinetic designed and manufactured a 125cc engine for MV Agusta’s sister brand Cagiva. Called the Mito, it has a 125.6cc, two-stroke and single-cylinder engine. Kinetic also designed and manufactured the aluminum frame for the Cagiva Mito 125.

MV Agusta has a variety of exotic models in its portfolio including the Stradale 800, Brutale 1090, the F3 675, the Rivale 800 and the Turismo Veloce 800- all of which we would like to see on Indian tarmac soon. Pending an official statement from the company, which will make it clear what the two brands’ future plans are, details of the agreement are unknown at the moment. More as the word is out.
