Chevrolet Spin MPV showcased at Auto Expo

Chevrolet has showcased the upcoming all-new Spin MPV at its pavilion at the Auto Expo.

The Spin features the American automaker’s trademark design cues with the prominent two-piece grille seen on nearly all Chevrolet models in India and gets more contemporary styling than the Enjoy MPV.

The Spin - unlike the Enjoy which is based on an older-generation Wuling CN platform - is based on the GM Gamma II platform that also underpins the Chevrolet Beat sold in India and various other models sold in other markets. The Chevrolet Spin MPV is available with a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine overseas.

The Spin is expected to launch sometime later this year with the car expected to feature the Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine under the hood.

Also showcased alongside the Spin are the concept versions of the next-gen Beat and its compact sedan sibling along with the company's iconic international models – the Camaro and the Corvette. Chevrolet has scheduled Spin and the Trailblazer to be the next all-new model launches in the Indian market.
