New 2017 Toyota Fortuner image gallery

It wears a contemporary design but its stance is still imposing.
This new-gen Fortuner rides a lot better than the car it replaces.

Cornering this tall SUV isn’t as scary as it was in the earlier car. Body roll has reduced too.
2.8-litre diesel engine is very drivable in the city and turbo lag is negligible. 2.7-litre petrol engine isn’t particularly zingy.
The dashboard isn’t directly lifted off the Crysta. It looks appealing and gets a lot of leather bits thrown in.
The storage compartments at the top can be cooled, while the one below can be locked.
Third row of seats isn’t as bad as one might think. The backrests can be reclined in a 50:50 ratio.
With a mere tug of a strap, the third row seats can be individually lifted up to liberate more cargo area.
The boot is large enough for a few cabin bags. It gets an electrically operable hatch.
Second row gets an individual compressor for the air con.
177hp diesel engine is shared with the Innova Crysta.
Meters remain illuminated throughout the day. MID has sharp font and is easy to read.
Six-speed automatic gearbox gets sequential shift.
There’s an option to switch the powered tailgate off too.
Driving modes, like in the Crysta, alter the throttle response and the air-con effectiveness.
Eight-way adjustable driver’s seat.
You can set the opening height of the tailgate by long pressing the button to store the position in memory.
