The year 2020 has been a dark year so far and that is why the meaning of this year’s Diwali is much more. We all light Diyas on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, but this year we all will light it to remove the darkness that we all face in 2020. Diwali is a festival of joy and happiness that is celebrated by eating sweets, lighting candles, and diyas, and distributing gifts with neighbours, friends, and loved ones. The season of Diwali is also considered the best time to buy new things. Many people buy things like bike, house, car, etc in the week of Diwali. So, if you are planning to buy a new car this Diwali, then there are certain things that you should be aware of. According to the Motor Vehicle Act, 2019, it is mandatory for every car owner in India to have a car insurance policy. However, many people are unaware of the advantage they can have if they chose the right add-ons for car insurance. Today we are going to talk about add-ons that you must buy with your car insurance as it not only protects your car but the people inside it too:

    Roadside Assistance

A car is a machine and it can breakdown anytime anywhere. In case of an accident or the breakdown of the car, a roadside assistance add-on will help you enormously. Firstly, you don’t have to pay for the towing charges as it will be covered under this add-on. You also don’t have to pay the labour charges that may be involved in transporting the damaged vehicle to the garage. If your car is damaged due to:

    ·        Overheated batteries

    ·        Deflated tire

    ·        Deficiency of fuel or water

    ·        If you misplaced your keys

    ·        The car gets entangled in mud, sand, snow, or water

You will be eligible for 24/7 roadside assistance if your car is damaged due to the reasons mentioned above.

No Claim Bonus (NCB) Retention Cover

If you buy car insurance and you don’t make the claim for whole policy tenure, then you will be eligible for NCB, under which you will get a discount on the premium when you will renew your policy. However, if you even make a single claim, you will not be eligible for NCB. This is where the NCB Retention Cover add-on comes. This add-on will help the policyholder in retaining the NCB amount for an additional premium. In case you make a single claim, you still will be eligible for a 20% No Claim Bonus.

    Engine Cover

This is one of the most important add-ons that every policyholder should have. the engine of the car is very costly and that is why its replacement and repairing can put a major dent in your hard-earned savings. This is the reason why it is recommended to have an Engine cover as an add-on. This add-on will cover the cost of repairing if the engine is damaged due to water logging and flooding or any adverse weather conditions. You don’t have to pay a single dime if you are covered under the engine cover.

Buy a car this Diwali with above-mentioned essential add-ons for car insurance and get a better deal from your car insurance policy.
