The Limited Edition Duster Explore sports an imposing dark chrome front grille and a skid plate that make an already tough SUV look even tougher. New, off-centre racing stripes enhance its already sporty and robust design. A bold front armour houses powerful lamps that light the way for all your expeditions. The smoky double barrel headlamps add character. Adding style is the rear dark chrome finisher with the word ‘Duster’ engraved on it. Matte B- and D-pillars and sporty decals on the hood and sides enhance its already prominent road presence. They have a snazzier look and feel, thanks to interior chromed door handles, orange door trim fabric inserts and a sporty ‘Noveau Orange’ themed fabric upholstery. A closer look reveals more attention to little details. The gear shift bellow and leather steering wheel have orange stitch marks, the parking brake now has a chrome knob, the air-conditioning vents get orange highlights, an orange anodised instrument cluster and new floor mats with orange outlines and Duster branding. And somehow, all this orange manages to add energy to the cabin without making it jarring to look at. It doesn’t shout. It states its presence with quiet confidence. Adding practicality are features like the Eco mode, gearshift indicator, cruise control with speed limiter and many others.
Renowned power
The Limited Edition Duster Explore is powered by the popular 1.5-litre dCi engine and offers a choice of two power outputs, 110PS and 85PS. The former comes with a six-speed manual transmission perfectly matched to the engine’s output. The drive in any condition, be it start-stop traffic or highway, is always fun. The 110PS still manages to sip fuel frugally and return an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.64kpl. The 85PS version features a five-speed manual transmission that delivers a best-in-class ARAI-certified mileage of 19.87kpl. The Limited Edition Duster 85PS RxL Explore is available at an introductory rate of Rs 9.99 lakh in Delhi and the Limited Edition Duster 110PS RxL Explore is available at an introductory rate of Rs 11.10 lakh in Delhi, making it a very compelling value proposition in the SUV segment.
