Electric mobility in India has moved well beyond curiosity. Today, it’s about real-world usability, cost savings, and the sheer ease of driving electric. And leading this shift has been MG, which has carved a distinct space for itself with a portfolio of EVs that speak to very different kinds of buyers. Their latest campaign, ‘EV Sahi Hai’, is a testament to that very shift in the mindset of Indian motorists.

Take the ultra-compact Comet EV, designed for city life; it’s small on size but big on personality. Then there’s the Windsor EV, a versatile option that fits into the lives of families and daily commuters alike. And at the premium end, the ZS EV has built a reputation as one of India’s most complete electric SUVs, delivering performance, features, and long-range capability. Together, they show that MG’s EV strategy isn’t about one-size-fits-all, but about offering something that works for everyone.

Beyond just products, MG has also been innovating with ownership solutions. A standout is their pioneering Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, a first-of-its-kind initiative in India. Complementing this is the eHub by MG app, a digital ecosystem that not only gives MG owners access to charging, service and connected solutions but also extends these benefits to drivers of other EVs. Add to this the ease of upgrades, reduced worries about long-term maintenance, a wide service network, true-to-range performance that mitigates range anxiety, and the result is a package that feels future-ready in every sense.

MG’s approach, then, has been simple yet powerful: make EVs practical, make them affordable, and above all, make them desirable. And perhaps the best proof of this is in the everyday stories of MG EV customers who are already living the electric life, each having found a reason to go electric and stay electric.

Let’s see what these MG EV owners had to say.

MR AJIT SINGH JAMDAR - MG COMET EV

“Switching to the Comet has made my daily life so much easier. It’s compact, effortless to drive in the city, and my family loves it. Parking and traffic are no longer a headache, and running costs are next to nothing. For the kind of city commutes I do, it’s been the perfect companion. And despite its small footprint, the cabin is roomy enough for me and my family. I’d give it full marks for the way it handles everyday commuting without stress. Finding chargers in my city hasn’t been an issue either, which makes owning it even more convenient.”

MR VEDANT SAXENA - MG WINDSOR EV

“I’m a big tech geek, so when I wanted to buy a car, it was always going to be an EV. And honestly, one test drive of the Windsor was all it took for me to fall in love. I love the minimalistic cabin, the feature-packed infotainment screen that’s the command centre of the car, and the plush sofa-style seats. Driving it has been an absolute breeze. My wife and I both love just getting into the Windsor and driving around town on weekends. We’ve even done some highway stints now, and finding a charger has been just as breezy. What I also love is how much I’m saving on the cost of driving it around, compared to my previous petrol car. It also helps that the Windsor has been priced so well at the outset. Of course, my wife is especially pleased about this.”

MR ANKIT GUPTA - MG ZS EV

“The ZS EV has made commuting stress-free and affordable. I don’t think twice before taking it out because running costs are so low. The connected features also give me peace of mind, especially when my daughter travels with the driver – I can track the car in real time, which is a big reassurance. Cabin comfort is top-notch, and the ride is as plush as the rest of it. My elderly parents have no problems with ingress and egress and love to tag along on weekend drives.

I even drove it to Mahabaleshwar without any issues – the 300km drive was smooth, charging was available at the destination, and I never worried about range. It’s been flawless to own, and I’ve already convinced family members to switch to EVs too.”
