Upgrading to a luxury SUV from a Toyota Innova Crysta

I am looking to upgrade from my 2017 Toyota Innova Crysta to a luxury SUV. I have shortlisted the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE 400d. My usage is on broken roads and long-distance journeys, so soft suspension that doesn’t let much of the road filter in and comfortable seats with good support are a priority.

Which among my shortlist would best fit my bill or are there any other options to consider?

The X5 is a nicer car to drive, thanks to dynamics that are more car-like than the GLE. However, on bad roads, the GLE has a better ride and absorbs broken roads better. The 400d engine is also smooth and has sufficient punch to make driving a pleasure.
