Should you buy a BS4 Ford EcoSport or a BS6 model?

I have booked a 2019 Ford EcoSport BS4 petrol-automatic. Should I buy it or wait for the BS6 version? If not, what are the best options for BS6 automatics under Rs 13 lakh?

AAA - The BS4 EcoSport is good enough and, in many ways, better than the BS6 petrol. Firstly, it will be cheaper as there are still big discounts on BS4 vehicles before stocks need to be cleared out on March 31. Also, BS4 petrol cars are generally more fuel-efficient than BS6 ones, which have bigger catalytic converters that sap power and efficiency. BS6 vehicles are, of course, better for the environment but they won’t make a tangible difference in improving air quality.

Disclaimer: As per a Supreme Court ruling, an extension has been provided to all automakers that allows them to sell 10 percent of their BS4 stock until 10 days after the lockdown ends. After this period, dealers will no longer be able to sell BS4 models.
