Resale problem

Wants to know whether the Renault Scala will make a good buy.

I’m keen on buying a Renault Scala, but don’t see any on the roads. I don’t want to get stuck with this car like I did with my Fiat Siena, though I like both cars. Please advise whether I should go with the Scala or look elsewhere.

AAA It’s true that the Scala is not very visible on Mumbai’s roads. The reason, largely, is that Renault has only one dealership in Mumbai and that too in the suburbs. As a result, Renault sales haven’t been as strong in Mumbai as in other cities. Also, the Scala is not one of Renault’s fast-moving models as it is a touch overpriced, and unlike with the hot-selling Duster, there are lots of other options in the mid-size saloon category. Renault has big plans for India and it’s unlikely that the car will go the Siena way. However, bear in mind that Renault’s Mumbai dealer does not have the best of reputations when it comes to after-sales service.
