    Honda Amaze vs Maruti Dzire

Can you recommend a sedan under Rs 12 lakh for everyday use? My usage is primarily within the city with occasional outstation drives. Good fuel economy and a comfortable cabin are my top priorities.

Autocar India says: Given your requirements, the Maruti Ciaz is a good option under Rs 12 lakh – the cabin is spacious, it’s very efficient and is good value for money as well. However, the on-road price of the Ciaz will cross the Rs 12 lakh mark, depending on the trim you opt for. If the Ciaz is slightly beyond your budget, you could look at the Honda Amaze which will comfortably fit within your budget. It's spacious and nice to drive, but has a relatively small boot.

Do note that the Amaze is due a generation change around Diwali this year when it will get an all-new styling, new interior and more features. You can also consider the Maruti Dzire which, too, is due to get an all-new generation by mid-2024, and as ever, will likely continue to be comfortable, spacious and frugal.
