    Hatch made in heaven

Q: I am looking ot buy a premium hatchback for my wife in the 4-6 lakh range. She will be chauffer-driven, so rear seat space is a priority. My criteria are milage, looks, realiability, build quality and comfort. I have shortlisted the Ford Figo, Toyota Liva, VW Polo, Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20 and the Skoda Fabia. Which one is the best buy? Would you recommend any other car as a better buy?

AAA: There's a wide range of choices available within your budget, but given your wife's requirements  for a good back seat and realiability, we would suggest the Honda Jazz. The rear seat is the best in the hatchback segment and the Jazz is easy to get in and out of. The downside is slightly harsh ride- the Jazz certainly doesnt feel as absorbent as the Fabia, Polo or Swift but the ride is not too uncomfrotable either. The Jazz makes up with its fuel effeciency and hassel free ownership experience.
