Deciding between a BMW 6 Series GT and Mercedes-Benz E-class petrol

I am looking for a luxury sedan that is fun to drive and has a comfortable rear seat. I am also looking at a 5-seat luxury SUV under Rs 75 lakh.

Deciding between a BMW 6 Series GT and Mercedes-Benz E-class petrol

Which one would you suggest in between the BMW 6 Series GT 630i and Mercedes E-Class Exclusive E 200 (Petrol), if the requirement is fun to drive as well as rear-seat comfort? I am also looking for a luxury 5-seater petrol SUV (under Rs 75 lakh), which should also be fun to drive and be able to seat three people comfortably at the rear.

The 630i is definitely more fun to drive than the E 200, as it has a smoother, punchier engine, sharper handling and feels more agile. The 6 GT’s rear seat isn’t as good as the E-Class’ but it’s spacious enough and can be reclined too. Hence, the 630i is the one we would recommend as it balances the fun to drive factor and rear seat comfort better than the E-Class.

Coming to your second query, if you are not in a hurry, you could wait for the X3 40iM, which is expected later this year. It will be the most fun SUV in its class, is fairly spacious at the back and has a brilliant 3.0-litre, six-cylinder engine. If you need an SUV sooner, then you could choose between the BMW X5 (though this might go a bit beyond your budget) and the Jaguar F-Pace, which is a brilliant handling SUV and very rewarding to drive.
