Are the MG Hector and Honda Civic good options to consider? And is there any other car I should consider?

Buying a pre-owned petrol car with a Rs 18 lakh budget

I want to buy a pre-owned petrol car with a budget of Rs 18 lakh. It should be feature-rich and come with a Sport mode. It will be driven on the highway and its occupants will also include children. I was considering the Jeep Compass Limited (1.4) , but it doesn’t have a Sport mode. I'd prefer not buying a Korean car, even if their maintenance costs are low. What about the MG Hector or the Honda Civic? Are they suitable for me, and do they fit my budget?

Since you’re looking at a pre-owned petrol option within a budget of Rs 18 lakh, we’d suggest you consider the Skoda Octavia 1.8-litre TSI, which comes with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. It is safe for adults as well as children, offers strong performance, has ample cabin space and a large boot. You could easily get a 2018 or 2019 model for the money, and we’d recommend you extend your warranty at the earliest after closing the deal.
