I am a 30-year-old banking executive and I’m in the market to upgrade from my old yet faithful Bajaj Avenger 220. I am aware that Royal Enfield is set to launch the Super Meteor 650 soon, and am thinking of settling for that. Do you think it makes sense for me to do so?

Autocar India says: It’s clear that you love cruisers, and by the looks of it, the upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 seems like the logical upgrade for you. Recently, we came across some interesting information about the production-spec motorcycle. For instance, it has a lower seat height than the Meteor 350, making it more accessible. The parallel-twin engine in the Super Meteor will make the same peak power (47hp) and peak torque (52Nm) as in the Interceptor/ Continental GT 650. From our experience, this is a gem of an engine and we wait to see how it lends itself to the Super Meteor’s cruiser bike application. The bike will be unveiled in India at the 2022 Royal Enfield Rider Mania and we will ride the bike after that. Do stick around for our views on the bike.
