The new Innova with its petrol-hybrid powertrain would offer low running costs. There wont be a diesel-engine like the one seen on the Innova Crysta.

We've owned 2 subsequent Toyota Innovas since 2009 and are currently using our third – Innova Crysta 2.8 AT. My family is looking to replace it with the new Innova Crysta, however, Toyota has discontinued the 2.8L engine, and the new model isn't much different to justify the purchase. Do I look at any other brand or wait for the all-new Innova?

It will sport new styling, comfier interiors, more equipment and come powered by a petrol-hybrid powertrain, so running costs are likely to be as low as a diesel vehicle.
