    Carmakers offering huge discounts

    With the car industry slowing down in terms of sales, dealerships are providing huge discounts on their cars in order to bring in the numbers. With the kind of tempting deals that are on the table, now may be the best time to zero in on your car of choice. We take a look at some of the best offers.

    All variants of the Chevrolet Cruze come with free insurance that works out to around Rs 58,000 depending on the variant you plan to buy. Also, the exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 will save you money if you sell your existing car to them. 

    Tata

    Tata Motors is also offering quite a big discount on the Aria. All 2012 variants of the Aria, excluding the base Pure LX, are available at a discount of Rs 2 lakh. A few 2011 models are also available with a discount of Rs 2.5 lakh. And, you also get a Rs 50,000 exchange bonus on 2012 and 2013 models. However, all these offers depend on the availability of stock.

     

    Toyota

    You may have noticed that Toyota showrooms hardly ever roll out any offers, but we found out that there’s a Rs 20,000 exchange bonus that is being offered if you trade your old car to the showroom. Half of the insurance cost has been waived on the Toyota Corolla Altis, translating to a saving of up to Rs 29,000. There’s also a corporate discount of up to Rs 10,000, plus an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. 

    Maruti

    The Maruti Wagon R is presently being sold at showrooms with a Rs 20,000 exchange bonus in case you were looking forward to exchanging your current car at the showroom. Additionally, there’s a cash discount of up to Rs 28,000 up for grabs. The total saving here is up to Rs 48,000.

    There are also attractive discounts on both versions of the Alto. Get Rs 20,000 in cash discounts on the K10 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. The fairly new Alto 800 is available with a cash discount of up to Rs 20,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000.

     

    Hyundai

    We found out that Hyundai dealerships are selling the i10 with free insurance that could save you up to Rs 17,000 depending on the variant. There’s also a cash discount to the tune of Rs 9,000, plus a corporate discount of up to Rs 5,000. The exchange bonus can save you Rs 20,000 more if you sell your car to Hyundai. The Sonata is also being sold with a sizeable discount. There’s a flat cash benefit that’s being passed to the buyer in the form of a Rs 1.5 lakh discount. 

     

    Mahindra

    Mahindra is offering a cash discount of up to Rs 20,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 on the Quanto. The Xylo is being offered with a cash discount of up to Rs 52,000 depending on the variant. Also, the Verito is available with free insurance, an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 and a Rs 7,000 corporate discount on both petrol and diesel versions.
     

     

    Volkswagen

    Volkswagen’s Passat is currently rolling out of showrooms with a substantial deal. You can avail of cash savings of up to Rs 2 lakh on this saloon. The benefit is available on all variants of the car and makes the Passat a sensible buy if you are out in the market looking to buy a luxury saloon. The company’s dealerships are also offering petrol variants of the Polo Comfortline and Highline with free insurance that works out to around Rs 24,000 off. All diesel versions have free insurance that saves you up to Rs 26,000, along with an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 when you sell them your car. The Jetta saloon is also being sold with a flat cash discount of Rs 1.75 lakh. The Jetta is a good competitor in its segment and this discount just sweetens the deal. 

     

    Nissan

    Both petrol and diesel variants of the Nissan Sunny get a cash discount varying up to Rs 17,000 depending on the variant. If you wanted to sell your old car then you can take advantage of the exchange bonus, which will save you close to Rs 20,000. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on the 2012 stock of the Evalia, then you will be able to save at least up to Rs 1.25 lakh on this MPV. 

    Audi

    There are huge discounts being made available at Audi dealerships on the A4. We found out that the saloon can be bought by prospective buyers with a hefty discount of up to Rs 4 lakh on the 2.0 TDI variant, not including the Business Edition.

     


    Mercedes-Benz

    Mercedes-Benz showrooms are selling the C-class saloon with attractive discounts to customers. You can get up to Rs 3 lakh off on some versions depending on the availability of stock. The E-class is also being sold with a discount of up to Rs 5 lakh on any variant of the luxury saloon. 
     

     

    BMW

    We found out that the BMW 3-series saloon can be bought with a sizeable discount of up to Rs 3.5 lakh on all variants. The 5-series is currently being sold at BMW showrooms with a benefit to the tune of Rs 5 lakh. This is dependent on the availability and is on offer on all versions.
