Nissan will bring its latest global executive saloon, the Sylphy, to India in 2014. This saloon will be positioned between the Sunny and the Teana and take on the likes of the Renault Fluence, VW Jetta and Toyota Corolla. The Sylphy was recently unveiled at the Beijing motor show.
Nissan states that this car is roomier than other saloons in its class and is constructed with improved materials. The Sylphy will be powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine mated to six-speed manual and CVT gearbox. But the big news is that it will also get Renault’s 1.5-litre 108bhp K9K diesel engine which also does duty in the Fluence.
