SCOOP! Mahindra Verito facelift spied

    The Verito receives a mid-cycle face-lift. It gets redesigned front and rear ends, no mechanical changes though.

    Here are the first spy pictures of the facelifted Mahindra Verito, spotted by alert reader Nikhil Aware in Nashik. From the pictures, it appears that Mahindra has given its saloon a mid-life facelift, rather than a transformation into a sub-four-metre saloon.

    The facelifted Verito gets a new front grille with a chrome strip, re-profiled front bumper and fog lamp housings. The B-pillars are now blacked-out and the outside rearview mirrors get new mountings. Moving to the rear, the tail lamps and bumper get minor tweaks and the number plate has now moved on to the redesigned bootlid.

    It isn’t clear if Mahindra has tweaked the interiors, but we expect the mechanicals to remain untouched and retain its positive attributes of an efficient diesel engine, a huge cabin and proven dynamics. Mahindra had launched the rebadged Verito in April last year with design tweaks. Now, with a mid-cycle facelift, the company is only buying time until it launches the sub-four-metre saloon.

    We expect the facelifted Verito to be launched in the coming months.
