Hatchback heaven is where you’ll be with our August 2009 issue. It’s a small car special like no other. We start off by giving you a sneak peek at Chevrolet’s all-new soon-to-be-launched hatch. And then drive you over onto our mega hatchback tests. Find out which petrol and diesel hatches are king of the ring in two comparos that feature the likes of the Honda Jazz, Fiat Grande Punto, Hyundai i20, Tata Indica Vista, Maruti Ritz, Skoda Fabia and Maruti Swift.

There are hatches and there are SUVs -- Skoda’s Yeti is a bit of both, and unlike anything ever seen in India. We drive it.

Onto bigger things now. Shift gear with the first drive of the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4 and move on to the big cat on Indian roads – the Jaguar XF V8. Then watch as the luxury SUVs – the Audi Q7, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz ML – battle to be the best.

On two wheels, take a look at Yamaha’s new Fazer and TVS’ revamped Flame. And hold on tight as we put the TVS Apache RTR 180 and the Honda CBF Stunner FI through our rigorous road tests. We also check out what some bolt-on Daytona racing kits can do to add even more zing to Yamaha’s very quick YZF-R15 and FZ16.

In our travel section, we head to Sajan in Maharashtra to enjoy a peaceful weekend away and enjoy the monsoons like they’re meant to. And we’ve also had quite a ride through the Himalayas on the Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey.

The sports section covers the British and German grands prix, plus reports on the season-opening round of the 2009 Indian National Rally Championship.

All this and much much more in our August 2009 issue. Grab your copy today!
