SUVs – it’s no secret that Indians just love them. So it’s no surprise that following the monsoon, it’s soon going to start raining SUVs. The first is, of course, the recently launched Hyundai Creta which we’ve driven, and then there’s the soon-to-be-launched Maruti S-Cross that we’ve driven too. We’ve got a first look at the brand new Toyota Fortuner that’s sure to excite many, details on Honda’s upcoming BR-V compact SUV, a drive of Mercedes’ new GLE and for the ultimate expression of the luxury SUV – the Range Rover Long Wheelbase. Don’t worry, we’ve got some hatchbacks, sedans, sportscars and even an estate in there too, along with the very latest from the world of bikes and motorsport. Read on.

Hyundai Creta – Smooth, tried-and-tested engines, good interiors, diesel automatic and lots of equipment. In typical Hyundai style, it looks like the carmaker has another winner in its hands. But is Hyundai’s compact SUV capable of getting the Renault Duster to break a sweat. We get behind the wheel to find out.

Maruti S-Cross – India’s largest carmaker jumps into the popular compact SUV fray with its newest premium offering, which is more crossover than SUV. The S-Cross is spacious, practical and well-equipped, but does it make a strong enough case for itself?

New Toyota Fortuner – The new Fortuner is less than a year away from Indian showrooms, and boy does it look stylish. But that’s not the only exciting thing – it’s getting a pair of all-new diesel engines and an all-new 4WD system. We’ve laid out everything you need to know about the next generation of the popular SUV.

New Chevrolet Cruze – Good looks, punchy performance and good value have always been the strengths of the Chevrolet Cruze, and the new version promises to take that to the next level. It’s not coming here before 2017, but we’ve got a detailed preview of the car for you right now.

Ford Figo Aspire – Ford may be a little late to the compact sedan segment, but its debut is a strong one. We have a detailed review of the new Figo Aspire and just for a bit of perspective, we have brought along what we think are the best petrol and diesel cars in the segment – the Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest.

Mercedes-Benz GLE – The name may have changed, but even to look at, the GLE is clearly a facelift of the M-class. It will, however, now be moved a little more upmarket, swap its seven-speed automatic for an all-new nine-speed auto and also be available as a BMW X6-rivalling four-door coupé. Lots to be excited about then.

Porsche 911 Turbo S – With this latest Turbo S, Porsche has truly taken the performance to supercar levels, while still retaining that usability we just love about the 911. We spent a day with the car on the road and the track to see if it’s still all the car you could ever need.

Audi RS6 Avant – Estates or wagons have never been popular in India, and if you’re a carmaker that wants to change that perception, launching one with 553bhp and 0-100kph in 3.8 seconds is a great way to do it. The Audi RS6 is a glorious marriage of performance and practicality, and one of the most unique cars on sale today.

Benelli TNT 25 – In their category, the Pulsar 200s and the 200 Duke are really dominant. But Italian manufacturer Benelli, with its smallest offering, is looking to shake things up. We get astride the TNT 25 to see if it truly is an answer to the easy-to-live-with Pulsars of the madness of the Duke.

24 Hours of Le Mans – It’s our exhaustive trackside account of one of the toughest endurance races in the world, plus a look at all the tech that makes each of the prototype cars go as fast, hard and for as long as they do.
