No the thing is if the vtec stays, we are still one car short. Which is why it must go. And there is no way I'm selling the bus.

Good suggestion!
Keep the V-tec, dish out ~50k & get a 800.

About 2 years back I sold my 2001 Accent for about 2.25 lacs. It was about 5 years old then.

Why wont a 4-5 year old Getz be available for about 1.5L?

There aren't many Getz' in the market. One three year old example went for Rs 2.70 lakh.

Also the vtec is a bit long in the tooth. The mechanicals are great, but it just doesn't have that feeling anymore. The body is flimsy and the interiors are rattling away to glory.

One thing you can be sure with the Ikon and the Palio(to some extent) is that they were built to last.

They are so muc tougher than the panzy Jap/Korean cars(Kidding ) that are certainly efficient but they start falling apart after a few years!

Exactly why I had to sell my dear Accent. Sigh!!

I had the Accent CRDi before the bus. It was a dream. Build quality was much better than the Honda.

Build quality is also one of the reasons why I'm leaning for an Ikon and Palio.

If this is your only concern, buy a Premier Padmini for 20k.

Don't sell the gem 'n regret later. You won't find such gems outside.
Its powerful, FE, big, handles good, reliable, what else can you expect on 4 wheels.

Do take this in a lighter sense, many end up spending 20k-30k after buying a pre owned car. You are going to risk yourself by buying two.

I see your point CB. But I'll see if I can get a Palio 1.6 and keep the vtec. That will be the best!

Haha Cyrus would never part with his Fiats. Plus I'm not a Padmini person anyway.

EDIT: The best garage for me would be the bus, my vtec and subzero's 1.6.

I get your point FRG, had a City myself but after 5yrs of ownership, things got pretty boring.

Ikon/Palio + Alto/Spark/800 are the best options.

Edit: Yes, Bus + Vtec + Palio/800 could be ideal!

How much do those old Fiat's cost?

I would love to have one of those vintage beauties some day.

EDIT: Not just the Premier. But he posted pics of others too. They surely cant be worth only 20K
