It takes 8,460 bolts to assemble an automobile, and one nut to scatter it all over the road.

@Durango Dude: point noted ;))
@goenkakushal: to me Altis to me is a bit plain-jane compared to the Civic...this segment is still ruled by Honda.
Will be going for a test drive either tomorrow or sometime next week...will let everyone know what I conclude comparing it with my i-dsi city in terms of driveability and interiors...

Corolla in it's Altis avatar, looks real cool; like a 'toned' down Camry. I'd rate it better than the Civic look's wise...Civic has been around for some time and though, futuristic, look's too familiar, to me. Altis has started outselling the Civic, for your info.

I had a test dirve of Linea 1.3 Multijet. Pickup is very bad. i though turbo will kickin at 2k RPM but i didn't feel the pull wht we see in Swift DDIS. The numbers are gud but actually its not tht gr8 on wheels
I feel the gear ratio is making us to feel underpower. |

I personally feel that the Linea is priced high for a Fiat - who's top of the line product ends here.
Verna CRDi - 739000 Linea active mjd - 692000 Fiesta 1.4 d exi - 693000 with discounts prevaling today, it seems that the Linea is priced high for the base active. it may be big but its just the same old less powerfull 1.3mjd (vgt) may be a nice car for the rear seaters, but how about for those who drive on their own. The top end Emotion + with all the goodies seems attractively priced, but i say its a great car if you have some one else to drive for you. Deepak DS Edited by deepakds - 18 Jan 2009 at 2:22pm |

@Deepakds:Fiat's product range does not end with the Linea...Fiat 500 is also available (www.fiat-india.com ) I think with a new setup and Tata as partners they should do way better then earlier, so lets give them a chance before writing them off...Fiats are not that bad!!
People also called the idsi city slow, I dont seem to have problem with it in the city; one has to drive it like an Amby!

Kinshuk, what do you think, is the linea 1.4 petrol better to drive than Idsi..i know you havent driven it yet, but can you comment anything on that.. i know that Linea 1.4 is powerful than Idsi City but considering their weights which would be better choice.

Saw the car in Burgundy on 7th in Ernakulam, parked inside the TATA FIAT showroom on the highway to Cochin airport, man it looked beautiful. And then in the papers again in Burgundy on the next day of its launch, kept looking at it. Just hope Fiat brings out a powerful version of the Linea soon! Right now it is being targeted at the FE conscious customer, which is 99% of India. Which is good for FIAT if it wants to revive its fortunes.
