Emotion pack comes with additional : Blue & Me, steering controls , Alloys and dual Airbags compared to Emotion Variant.

To all those  who think it ll be underpowered , the Fiesta 1.4 TDCI has around 68 BHP and Octavia 1.9 has 90 BHP only!!!!
Yes for its weight Linea might not be a pocket rocket. I guess Fiat is concentrating more on F.E  Junta!

The Linea being sold in the western countries too have the same engine as per the Overdrive (Jan 2009) report. Also as karan puts it the Fiesta and Octavia too have  sub 100 bhp outputs.

That's the reason both unsuccessful when compared to the others.

Anyways both are in process of getting bankrupt unless Federal banks help them

So who has booked the Most awaited car of the century on the first day . Hope they keep up the ASS. Honda City badly needs out and out competitor. Unless Honda guys get a real go0d competition in this segment they will never come down on price irrespective of 100% parts being localized.

Here is my feedback after test drive of diesel version (Emotion ):

1) Cramped Interiors: In total contrast to its exterior appearance, the car is so small from inside. I am 6 feet tall and i found the rear seats very uncomfortable - leg room not adequate and head room is a total disaster. Driving position is also not comfortable for tall people - my both knees were pressing against the center console and driver side door and it was very very annoying.

2) Lack of power - After being used to driving honda city vtec and skoda, i found it way under power. Pickup was sluggish as if car was not willing to move ahead.

Other than above two the car is a surprise package and should be a super hit and could revive FIAT in India. And yes, considering its price, my other apprehension is about its use in commercial sector i.e. being used as a taxi and after sale service from TATA/FIAT is also doubtful at this point.

Well even i read somewhere that it should have some space inside..But then it looks big then why there is lack of space inside...
And yes Headroom is small..
Havent tested yet as the dealer hasnt recieved as he is gonna close down the Tata-fiat showroom...
I still have many hopes from this car..

FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS CAR IS UNDER POWERED
guys pls dont forget its not just bhp that decides the power of the car but TORQUE too and this car has a lot of it.. skoda octavia has 215nm torque witht weight of 1350kg and the Linea has 205nm with weight of 1200kg .. both these cars have 90BHP .... STILL THINK ITS UNDER POWERED???
not 4 me ... and just think abt the technology with a 1.3 liter engine producing almost same power as a 1.9 liter..

yes u r right that its amazing that a 1.3 litre and 1.9 litre engine producing same power...test drivers also blame the gearing ratios in linea which make the car feel under-powered and maybe octy has gear ratios which makes it goes faster...just note d difference linea 0-100kmph is 17.5 secs almost in range of logan and fiesta tdci and octy does the same in 13 secs sumthin so maybe the gearing is to be blamed but as said that every car has weakness and linea's weakness is less power.

Has anybody driven the petrol version or it has not been introduced yet. If so then when is it likely to be released. May be the gearing is better in that to provide a much better / more powerful driving experience.

I wonder when India will get over the 'MILAGE' fobia and start getting some more powerful engines.

Cramped rear could be because it has been derived from a hatch back. But Swift Dzire is champion of cramped backseat but still has a 6 months long waiting list, so I dont think it would be an issue for Linea also. Though it will ensure that Linea does not go into taxi segment.

Im very much considering swapping my 04city for Linea Petrol Emo Plus...its good to look at, has road presence, goodies...and besides it'll be the 4th "Fiat" in the family ;))))))

.....what do the experts recommend??
