Hello there everyone,

The Autocar Forum is a year old. And, I'd like to thank everyone for their support through the months in helping this forum grow. We have been really happy with the way things have gone till now. Lot of members, lot of posts and a lot of information. We have crossed more than 1,600 members and closing in on 35,000 posts. With this kind of activity, the forum requires active moderation around the clock which is why our support team has grown with the addition of the latest moderator - Cyrus43. The team now comprises of FRG, 325i, Zander and Cyrus43. All the Support team introductions will be made in this thread. Lets start with mine.

FRG - My real name is Manish Sarser. I currently drive a Tata Safari Dicor 3.0 and Honda City Vtec. Have lived in Bombay most of my life, but originally from Delhi. I joined Autocar in September 2006. Back then, my main job was to handle all the fuel efficiency tests and do research for the articles that were printed. I am also doing the investigative articles for our sister magazine WhatCar? Some of you may have wondered how I came up with my username....well doing fuel efficiency tests was a major part of my job so hence the name. Well thats all for now. Hoping that members go by the rules and regulations so that we don't have to work overtime. Thanks to all members, Its great to be here.

Firstly, as Manish said, I would like to Thank all of you guys who have made this forum grow to heights that we ourselves hadnt imagined. Thanks alot guys and keep up the good work. We will make sure that this forum will excel where all other forums have failed.

Ok, now for introductions...

As my name suggests, I am Cyrus Dhabhar. I am from Bombay, and i am what you would call a typical bombayite. I love my food, i love my cars but most of all, i Love my FIATS!! As one can see from my ignature...My Daily drive is a 1987 Premier Padmini. My other cars are a 1958 Fiat 1100 Select, a 1964 Fiat 1100 Super Select, a 1988 Premier Padmini, a 1996 Premier Padmini Left Hand Drive and a 2007 Mahindra Scorpio CRDe. I also collect Scale models. So if anyone want to give me theirs, you are most welcome!!

I dont want to bore you guys much so i will end here..If anyone has any complaints about something or a particular suggestion about something, Please Feel Free to PM me. I will see into it immidiately.

Hello friends, let me take a brief walk down the memory lane. I've been an avid reader of the Autocar magazine for a long-long time ~ a decade or so & have loved, savored & enjoyed every bit of it. Not to mention, learned & gained a lot too. When the right opportunity & time arrived, joined Autocar forum, loved & liked it in the first instance.

Thanks to the wonderful atmosphere, thousands of members & above all the fabulous Team-ACI under the able guidance & expert watchful eye of FRG which made sure that I had the time of my life. Since then, I have been regular on the forum & had some interesting & valuable interactions with fellow members. Later I was selected to be a part of the "Special members", a move I cherished a lot. FRG has this rare knack of picking up talent & was quick to recognize my contribution & sincerity, thus bestowing upon me the responsibility to keep the Community clean & a friendly/cordial place to be in.

I would again thank him for reaffirming his faith in me & reassure that I would be working tirelessly in whatever way that helps the Community. Its great & I feel proud being a part of Team-ACI which has icons like 325i, FRG.

Now a word about me, Im Ajit Singh from the land of five rivers & the food bowl of India - Punjab. Im a die hard Automobile enthusiast, into cars since I was a kid. Presently working in various disciplines with special interest in Medicine. My daily drives include - Corolla, Gypsy & a Swift. My ID is inspired by the "spirit of freedom" & "love for nature".

I guess this has been a long intro. I wish fellow members would stick by the rules & regulations of the forum thus helping in making my job easier. Please feel free to contact me on issues regarding the forum, Im just a PM away or use the contact form.

Hello folks. I am sure most of the old timers are familiar with me. As should be evident from the handle I am with IIT Kanpur. Have been here for almost 33 years. I trained as a Physicist but for the past decade and half my forte is computer interfacing and control.

Obviously I am enthusiastic about cars and motoring - having owned a couple of Ford Escorts in the 70's, and a Peugeot 205GL in the the late 80's when I was in the UK. In India my mounts include, Hindustan 14, Ambys, FIATs incl DX, M800, Zen, NE118, Esteem, Santro, Accent, etc.
During my stay in the UK I have also driven a wide selection of hardware which we rented for our trips to France. My boss is a real car fanatic and his mounts sequentially have been XK120, BMW2800, BMW 3.5L, BMW 735, and now an XKR. I learnt a lot from him in my total of five years in old blighty.

I did most of my own maintenance in the UK and also in India till the late 90's.

You will be seeing far fewer posts by me since I have been muzzled by FRG and party.
