I drive around 40km daily in conjested areas and would like a Merc A-class or an Audi A2. When will these cars come to India as I do not want to pay customs duty on imports? AAA: We are afraid that it’s not easy to get a hatchback in this price range because no manufacturer sells expensive hatchbacks in India. The other problem is that you can’t import them easily — since these cars cost less than US$ 40,000, they would have to go through the homologation process.
