Volvo S90

The Volvo S90 is large even by class standards and has a regal air about it. It looks incredibly special on the inside, as well. The rich materials and minimalist look give the cabin a soothing ambience but the fact that the touchscreen is your go-to control for even some of the basic functions is an irritant. The S90’s all-important rear seat also isn’t quite the comfiest either.
With 190hp to offer, the S90’s 2.0-litre diesel engine matches its rivals’ engines on power. The engine feels strong and performance is good. However, with the rest of the car being so quiet, you can hear the engine more than you’d like. The S90 doesn’t pretend to be a sporty car but does drive with confidence. Ride quality is good too, although the relatively low ground clearance can be an issue for some.
