Year-end discounts on Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Yaris and more

Toyota is another carmaker looking to increase its sales before the year ends. Dealerships of the Japanese brand have been authorised to offer significant benefits and discounts to potential customers to sweeten the deal and push sales of its models and clear the inventory of older models. As Toyota has also announced that it will increase prices of its range of cars by up to 4 percent from January 2019, this is a good time to get the best deal on your new car, MPV or SUV from the Japanese carmaker.

Here’s how much you’ll be able to save by cashing in on year-end discounts offered at Toyota showrooms:

    Toyota Fortuner

Save up to Rs 1.25 lakh
The rugged Fortuner is known to be a reliable seven-seat SUV, but with newer rivals having been introduced to the segment, it makes sense that dealers are now offering large discounts and benefits up to Rs 1.25 lakh. While the 177hp, 2.8-litre diesel model (which comes with either a 6-speed manual or automatic and optional all-wheel drive) has larger discounts on it, benefits are also offered on the 166hp, 2.7-litre petrol engine that comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, both of which send power to just the rear wheels.

    Toyota Yaris

Save up to Rs 1.1 lakh
Only available with a 107hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic, the Yaris is meant to be Toyota’s answer to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City and Hyundai Verna. However, the Toyota mid-size sedan isn’t as successful as its rivals, prompting dealers to offer a whopping Rs 1.1 lakh worth of benefits on the Yaris. Besides the brand’s renowned reliability, the Yaris also boasts a segment-leading safety kit including features such as seven airbags across all variants.

    Toyota Innova Crysta

Save up to Rs 1 lakh
The Innova doesn’t have any direct rivals in the market, though its lower variants do see some competition from the likes of the second-gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Mahindra Marazzo. The MPV comes with a trio of strong engines – a 150hp, 2.4-litre diesel, a 174hp, 2.8-litre diesel and a 166hp, 2.7-litre petrol motor. Buyers can avail benefits up to Rs 1 lakh on diesel variants of the Innova Crysta – including extra accessories, and even an exchange bonus. While there are undisclosed benefits on the petrol models as well, there is a two-month waiting period as they will only be stocked when ordered.

    Toyota Etios range

Save up to Rs 1 lakh
Toyota’s Etios is available as a sedan, a hatchback (Etios Liva) and a cross-hatch (Etios Cross). All body styles come with petrol and diesel engine options – the 68hp, 1.4-litre diesel is shared across the range, the sedan and cross-hatch share the 90hp, 1.5-litre petrol, while the hatchback makes do with an 80hp, 1.2-litre petrol. Conspicuously, none of the models come with an automatic option, with a 5-speed manual provided as standard. This month, showrooms will offer massive discounts and benefits up to Rs 1 lakh on select variants of the Etios range.

    Toyota Corolla Altis

    Save up to Rs 75,000
A rival to the Skoda Octavia and Hyundai Elantra, the Corolla Altis boasts a spacious cabin and excellent ride quality and is known to be a sensible buy. While the 140hp, 1.8-litre petrol engine (which comes with 6-speed manual and CVT options) is decent, the 88hp, 1.4-litre diesel is quite dull and a bit noisy. Potential customers can avail benefits worth Rs 75,000 on this executive sedan, this month.
