Save up to Rs 2 lakh on the Hyundai Elantra, Santro, Grand i10, i20 and more

Despite the start of a new financial year, dealerships across India are looking to sell older inventory from the previous year and boost sales. Hyundai dealers across the country have been authorised to offer some mouth-watering discounts on a large selection of models during the month of April – including mass market cars like the Hyundai Santro, Grand i10 and i20, as well as premium models such as the Elantra and Tucson. The only car from the carmaker's India line-up that is not a part of this discount spree is the Hyundai Creta SUV.

Here is a look at the discounts and benefits you can avail at Hyundai dealerships this month:

    HYUNDAI ELANTRA

Save up to Rs 2 lakh
Hyundai’s executive sedan now comes with total benefits worth Rs 2 lakh – a sizeable cash discount of Rs 1.25 lakh and exchange benefits worth Rs 75,000 – across all variants. The Hyundai Elantra, a rival to the Honda Civic and Skoda Octavia, is available with a 152hp, 2.0-litre petrol and a 128hp, 1.6-litre diesel engine (both get 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options). As the launch of the Hyundai Elantra facelift (spied in India recently) is around the corner, if you bargain hard, you could avail an even larger discount.

    HYUNDAI TUCSON

Save up to Rs 1 lakh
Offered with a pair of 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines, the Hyundai Tucson is the brand’s flagship SUV in India and is positioned against the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan. Dealers are now offering cash discounts of up to Rs 25,000 on the SUV, along with additional exchange benefits of up to Rs 75,000.

    HYUNDAI GRAND i10

    Save up to Rs 95,000
While its 2017 facelift has helped sales, the Hyundai Grand i10 is one of the older models in its segment, which now includes the recently launched Ford Figo facelift and Maruti Suzuki Swift. The hatchback is now available with nearly a lakh worth of benefits across all 14 of its variants, including the CNG-powered Grand i10 Prime model. As the next-gen Grand i10 is scheduled to launch in India by October 2019, potential buyers could push for an even larger discount.

    HYUNDAI XCENT

    Save up to Rs 85,000
The compact sedan version of the Grand i10, the Hyundai Xcent shares its 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol and 75hp, 1.2-litre diesel engines with the hatchback, along with the 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearboxes. Buyers can avail a total discount of up to Rs 85,0000 on all variants of Xcent, including the CNG-equipped Prime variant. Hyundai dealers are also offering heavy discounts on the lower-spec Xcent petrol S variant; which, at Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), is now a whopping Rs 89,000 cheaper.

    HYUNDAI SANTRO

    Save up to Rs 31,000
Hyundai’s answer to the Tata Tiago and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R comes with a 69hp, 1.1-litre petrol motor (58hp on CNG) that can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. During this month, dealers will offer an exchange bonus of up to Rs 20,000 and further benefits worth Rs 11,000 on the Hyundai Santro.

    HYUNDAI VERNA

    Save up to Rs 30,000
As the Hyundai Verna is facing increasing competition from the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz (with its new 1.5-litre diesel engine) and the Honda City, potential customers could benefit from discounts worth Rs 30,000 on the mid-size sedan. For now, the Verna comes with four engine options – a 100hp, 1.4-litre petrol, a 90hp, 1.4-litre diesel, a 123hp, 1.6-litre petrol and a 128hp, 1.6-litre diesel. The 1.6-litre engines get an optional 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.

    HYUNDAI i20 & i20 ACTIVE

    Save up to Rs 20,000
Hyundai’s premium hatchback and its cross-hatch derivative can both now be had with an exchange bonus of up to Rs 20,000. The Hyundai i20 and i20 Active share the same 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol and 90hp, 1.4-litre diesel engines, although the hatchback also gets the option of a CVT automatic with the petrol motor. Known for its well-equipped and premium cabin, the Elite i20 rivals the Honda Jazz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno, while the i20 Active competes against the Honda WR-V.
