The Nissan Terrano is the latest entrant into the fast growing compact SUV segment in India.

The new SUV comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine option in two states of tune, 84bhp and 108.5bhp, and a 1.6-litre petrol engine that puts out 102.6bhp. The 84bhp diesel and 102.6bhp petrol motors come mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while the higher-powered 108.5bhp diesel variant gets a six-speed manual gearbox.

The 84bhp diesel Nissan Terrano comes in three trims, XE, XL and XL Plus. The base XE trim gets a driver airbag, front and rear power windows and a multi-information display.

The Terrano XL comes equipped with ABS with EBD, a 2-DIN audio system with CD/MP3, USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth compatibility, and a piano black trim on the centre console and front foglamps.

The top-spec XL Plus trim adds dual airbags and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The 108.5bhp diesel variant of the Nissan Terrano also comes in three trims, XL, XV and XV Premium. The XL trim gets the same kit as the lower-powered diesel’s XL trim.

The XV adds parking sensors, a rear air-con unit and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearlever.

The top-of-the-line Nissan Terrano XV Premium gets leather seats, ‘Zebra’ wood front and rear door armrest finish and door trim strip.

Finally, the 102.6bhp petrol variant comes only in one trim, XL, which gets the same kit as the other Terrano XL variants.
