Mahindra has teased the XUV300 facelift – now called the XUV 3XO – yet again, confirming that the upcoming compact SUV will be feature-rich. This is the third teaser Mahindra has released of the 3XO.

    1. XUV 3XO to get segment-first panoramic sunroof
    2. Remote features now via Adrenox Connect app
    3. Gets dual 10.25-inch screens from XUV400 EV

The XUV300 already had dual-zone climate control as a segment-first feature and the 3XO will add a panoramic sunroof to that list; as confirmed by the second teaser. The latest teaser shows a smartphone being used to remotely control the 3XO’s AC system; while remote functions on the Mahindra compact SUV are not new (owners could use the BlueSense app for this), the brand now has a new Adrenox Connect app for the same. Expect other remote functions like infotainment control and door unlock/lock, along with diagnostic tools.

Previous spy shots of the XUV 3XO confirmed that it will come with features seen on the recently updated XUV400 EV, including the dual 10.25-inch screens for the digital driver display and infotainment. It's not yet known if the 3XO will get ADAS. If it does, the compact SUV will join the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet in getting this safety feature.

The XUV 3XO will continue with the same three engine options – the 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol; the 131hp, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol; and the 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel. Mahindra will offer an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic and a manual gearbox with the 131hp petrol engine, while the other two will continue to be offered with 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions.

As we’ve reported before, the XUV 3XO will be priced higher than the XUV300, which makes sense if one accounts for the design changes and new features. More details will be revealed as the XUV 3XO’s launch date (April 29) nears. Stay tuned.
