    Every new SUV on discount this festive season

    The festive season is usually a time when manufacturers across the board offer significant discounts and benefits in order to boost sales figures. The 2018 season is no different with the obvious mass market carmakers like Mahindra, Tata, Honda, Jeep and Hyundai, along with premium carmakers like Audi offering attractive discounts.

    Before setting out to buy a new SUV or MPV, check out this comprehensive list of discounts that are offer during this month and the next:

    Audi Q7

    Save up to Rs 7 lakh
    The Q7 has a leg up on its rivals (Mercedes GLE and BMW X5) by offering seven-seats. Drive is sent to all-four wheels as standard from a 252hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 245hp, 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engines. Audi dealerships are offering discounts of around Rs 7 lakh on its current flagship SUV.

    Audi Q3

    Save up to Rs 6 lakh
    The smallest Audi SUV on sale in India, the Q3 is powered by smooth, if slightly under-powered petrol and diesel engines. The mid-spec Premium Plus variant of the rival to the Mercedes GLA and BMW X1 rival is now on offer with a whopping Rs 6 lakh discount or various other benefits such as a zero percent rate of interest, a five-year warranty package and 100 percent finance with a waiver for the first EMI. There are also exchange offers  and corporate discounts on offer to the tune of Rs 1 lakh

    Audi Q5

    Save up to Rs 6 lakh
    Launched at the beginning of this year, the second-gen Q5 improves on its predecessor in every arena. It shares the 252hp petrol engine with the larger Q7 and gets a 190hp, 2.0-litre diesel motor too. The festive season will see the BMW X3-rival on offer with a Rs 6 lakh discount.

    Mahindra Rexton

    Save up to Rs 3.50 lakh
    The all-new Y400 will replace Mahindra’s current flagship SUV when it arrives on November 19. In the meanwhile, dealers are looking at clearing stocks of the 2017 Rexton with large cash discounts of Rs 3.5 lakh along with a Rs 50,000 exchange bonus. The Rexton is known to be a well-priced and well-equipped SUV and is powered by a 2.7-litre diesel engine in 164hp and 186hp states of tune. The 164hp motor is mated to a 5-speed manual while the 184hp unit gets a 5-speed automatic as standard.

    Renault Captur

    Save up to Rs 1 lakh
    In a bid to clear stocks of the older 2017 model, Renault dealers are offering a massive Rs 1 lakh discount on the Captur. Dealers are also offering a year’s worth of free insurance on the 2018-year models of the stylish SUV. It is available with a 106hp, petrol and a 110hp, diesel engine, which get 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual transmissions, respectively.

    Honda BR-V

    Save up to Rs 1 lakh
    The BR-V’s USP is that is gets seating for seven. The SUV-esque MPV is also  easy to drive, thanks to the 119hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel motor. The BR-V is now a sweeter deal thanks to the Rs 1 lakh worth of discounts and benefits that are on offer. This includes a Rs 50,000 exchange offer, Rs 16,000 worth of accessories and a year’s free insurance.

    Tata Hexa

    Save up to Rs 98,000
    Available in six-seat and seven-seat combinations, the Hexa is well-liked for the ride quality on offer, the long list of features and the smooth automatic gearbox. The base trim is powered by a 150hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine while all other variants get a 156hp, 2.2-litre diesel motor. Customers can now avail benefits up to Rs 98,000 on the SUV, which includes free insurance and an exchange bonus.

    Mahindra Scorpio

    Save up to Rs 83,000
    Mid-spec and top-spec variants of Mahindra’s Scorpio can now be bought with a cash discount of Rs 40,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000. Select dealerships in Delhi are also offering an additional 18,000 discount for the festive season. The mid-spec S5 trim is powered by a 120hp version of the 2.2-litre diesel motor, while the top-spec S11 variant gets the same motor in a 140hp state of tune. The S7 gets both engine options.

    Jeep Compass

    Save up to Rs 75,000
    Genuine off-road ability, great on-road ride and handling and a strong 173hp, 2.0-litre diesel motor makes the Compass a compelling buy in the midsize SUV segment. Discounts and benefits worth Rs 75,00 can be availed on the smallest Jeep, including Rs 30,000 worth of Mopar accessories. However, the offer is not valid on the recently launched top-spec Compass Limited Plus trim.

    Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

    Save up to Rs 65,000
    The first-gen Ertiga has been on sale for over six years now and will be replaced with the all-new model on November 21. In the meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki dealerships are offering cash discounts up to Rs 30,000 and exchange bonuses Rs 35,000 on the 90hp, 1.3-litre diesel model and cash discounts and exchange bonuses of Rs 15,000 and Rs 30,000 on the 92hp, 1.4-litre petrol model.

    Renault Duster 110PS diesel

    Save up to Rs 60,000
    Renault dealers are offering cash discounts up to Rs 60,000 on the more powerful 110hp Duster SUV during the festive season. While the offer is not valid on the AWD versions, there are various dealer-end discounts on offer with all other variants of the Nissan Terrano rival. The Duster comes with a 106hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine (with manual and CVT gearbox options) and a 1.5-litre diesel in 85hp and 110hp states of tune (with manual and AMT options).

    Hyundai Tucson

    Save up to Rs 60,000
    Buyers who are looking at Hyundai’s Jeep Compass rival can avail an exchange bonus Rs 60,000 and get a year’s worth of free insurance. The Tucson is available with a 155hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 185hp, 2.0-litre diesel motor, both of which get 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. However, only the top-spec diesel gets an all-wheel-drive option as an extra.

    Nissan Terrano

    Save up to Rs 58,000
    Nissan dealers are offering a 6g gold coin, a Rs 40,000 exchange bonus and a Rs 18,000 discount for government employees on the Terrano SUV during the festive period. The sibling to the Renault Duster also shares the same engine options and the same transmissions, though unlike the French car, there isn’t a CVT automatic on offer with the Terrano.

    Honda WR-V

    Save up to Rs 40,000
    For the duration of the festive period, Honda’s Jazz-based cross-hatch has an exchange bonus of Rs 40,000 and comes with one-year of free insurance. The WR-V shares its 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol motor and 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel mill with its hatchback sibling, though only get 5-speed manual transmissions. It rivals the likes of the Fiat Avvantura.

    Mahindra XUV500

    Save up to Rs 35,000
    The seven-seat, monocoque-bodied XUV500 scores high on equipment and is also quite decent to drive. There’s a single petrol-automatic variant on offer (with a 140hp, 2.2-litre petrol engine) and 11 diesel trims (with a 150hp, 2.2-litre motor) on offer. Mahindra dealers have been authorised to offer a Rs 10,000 cash discount and a Rs 25,000 exchange bonus on the rival to the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Creta.

    Ford Endeavour 4x2 Trend AT

    Save up to Rs 30,000
    The seven-seat Endeavour is capable off-road, comes with a very capable 160hp, 2.2-litre diesel and is great value for money for the kit that it gets, even in the base Trend variant. Ford dealers are now offering a Rs 30,000 cash discount, along with an unspecified discount for corporate customers.

    Renault Lodgy, Lodgy Stepway

    Save up to Rs 30,000
    The Lodgy now sees increasing competition in the MPV space, with the recently launched Mahindra Marazzo and the soon-to-arrive all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The base Standard and lower-spec RxE variants now come with a Rs 30,000 cash discount while the higher-spec Stepway versions get the first year of insurance gratis. Available in seven-seat and 8-seat configurations, the Lodgy is powered by a Renault’s eponymous K9K 1.5-litre diesel engine in 85hp and 110hp sates of tune.

    Tata Nexon

    Save up to Rs 28,000
    Tata’s rival to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is one of the safest, affordable cars currently available in India, having secured a four-star Global NCAP rating. It comes powered by a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 110hp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel motor, both of which get 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearbox options. Tata dealers are now offering a year’s free insurance (worth Rs 13,000) and an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 on the Nexon.

    Mahindra Bolero Power Plus

    Save up to Rs 25,000
    Mahindra’s rugged SUV is a bit bare bones, but does what it is meant to – be a dependable workhorse. The more expensive Power Plus versions, which are powered by a 71hp, 1.5-litre diesel motor, are now on offer with a cash discount of Rs 15,000 and a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus.

    Ford EcoSport

    Save up to Rs 20,000
    Ford’s rival to the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza may be priced high, but its core competencies – namely its strong engines (123hp, 1.5 petrol, 125hp, 1.0 turbo-petrol and 100hp, 1.5 diesel), ride and handling balance and level of kit – maker it a desirable buy. Buyers of the compact SUV can now avail a Rs 20,000 cash discount. Ford is also offering a three-year warranty package as part of a corporate discount.

    Mahindra Marazzo

    Save up to Rs 15,000
    The recently launched Marazzo slots right between segment stalwarts – the Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The MPV also debuts the brand’s new 123hp, 1.5-litre diesel motor that is mated to a new 6-speed manual gearbox. Dealers will offer an exchange bonus of up to Rs 15,000 with the all-new MPV from Mahindra.
