Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition to launch next month

Along with the launch of the Gixxer SF MotoGP edition, Suzuki has also announced that the more-powerful Gixxer SF 250 is also set to get a similar variant in August 2019.

We expect the upcoming Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition to feature a colour that is very similar to the one seen on the 155cc Gixxer SF. It will get the same Suzuki Racing Blue finish, fluorescent rim tape and Ecstar decals. As Suzuki is asking for a Rs 800 premium over the standard bike for the 155cc Gixxer SF MotoGP edition, we can expect a similar increase for the special edition SF 250. For reference, its current ex-showroom, Delhi price is Rs 1.71 lakh.

While the styling of the SF 250 is similar to that of the standard Gixxer SF, its mechanicals are quite different. It is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, SOHC oil-cooled engine that makes 26.5hp at 9,000rpm and 22.6Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.

Suspension duties on the Suzuki are taken care of by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, while braking is handled by a disc brake at both ends. The bike comes equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard.
