A large batch of images of the new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 have now leaked, giving us a clear look at the four colour options as well as the new LCD display. It appears that the Pulsar NS400 will be available in four shades - black, white, red and grey. Each colour scheme has striking looking graphics, but there are also multiple elements on the motorcycle that are different from the Pulsar NS200.

    1. Headlight design, LCD dash is new
    2. Underpinnings shared with Dominar 400, Pulsar NS200
    3. Could be most affordable 40hp bike in India

While the overall silhouette has changed very little from the decade-plus NS design, a closer look reveals something new to see at every angle. Up front, there’s the unique headlamp with a projector headlamp and two large lightning bolt DRLs along the side. This will be the biggest differentiator against the smaller NS siblings. The new NS400 also gets a sporty looking set of rear view mirrors, which appear to be the same as the Dominar 400 and the new KTM 250 Duke and 390 Duke.

Along the sides, the tank extensions are different and the new Pulsar NS400 also packs a larger set of radiator shrouds. The box section swingarm appears to be the same as the NS200 (although it could vary in specifications) and it has a different plastic shroud on top.

At the rear, there’s the familiar split brake lamps along with what appear to be the same split grab handles. However Bajaj has given the bike slightly different bodywork along the tail section.

The alloy wheel pattern looks the same as the Pulsar NS200, but the brakes are different and these seem to be the newer Grimeca units. The USD fork is also finished differently and it remains to be seen if this is a fatter fork compared to the NS200.

While the shape of the seats and fuel tank is the same, these images have given us our first look at the Pulsar NS400’s LCD display. It is similar to the new digital display in the Pulsar NS200, but the overall layout is slightly different and it also appears to have some coloured elements. The display is bluetooth compatible and will also have navigation assists.

The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will use the same 373cc engine from the Bajaj Dominar 400 and it should produce around the same 40hp and 35Nm.

However, this bike will be significantly lighter than the Dominar - both in terms of weight and on your pocket. A sub-Rs 2 lakh price point is possible which will make this the most affordable entry into the world of 40hp performance.

Look out for our detailed coverage on all our platforms tomorrow for the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 launch.
