Volvo is set to debut the S60L T6 Twin Engine at the Shanghai Motor Show. The model will be Volvo’s fourth plug-in hybrid vehicle after the V60 D6 Twin Engine, V60 D5 Twin Engine and the XC90 T8.

Built in China, the S60L T6 Twin Engine is powered by a 235bhp, 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine along with a 67bhp electric motor with peak torque expected to be around 56kgm for both motors combined.

Volvo claims that the car has a range of 53km on electric charge alone and a 0-100kph sprint time of 5.6 seconds. The company has also said that it will develop two new Twin Engine variants every year. The S60L T6 Twin Engine will be available showrooms in China only, but may make its way to other markets in the future.
