Volvo could bring Polestar sub-brand to India

Volvo is planning to get its Polestar performance sub-brand to India. Both the S60 Polestar sedan and the V60 Polestar wagon are on sale overseas, and they are likely to make it to our showrooms.

The cars will be powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six making 345bhp and 51kgm of torque with a 0-100kph dash possible in less than five seconds. Other mechanical enhancements include an intercooler, a performance exhaust kit, recalibrated stability control system and performance brakes.

Both Polestar models get front and rear splitters, bespoke 20-inch alloy wheels, sport seats and a new steering wheel.

Volvo is likely to showcase the Polestar models in India after the Auto Expo 2016. The carmaker  has confirmed that it won’t be participating in the expo. The carmaker has recently launched the V40 Cross Country petrol, the V40 hatchback and the S60 T6 sedan in India along with the new XC90 SUV
