Triumph motorcycle range launched in India

    Triumph launches ten models in India, prices start at Rs 5.7 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi)

    Iconic British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles has launched a line-up of 10 motorcycles with prices ranging from Rs 5.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the old-school Bonneville to Rs 20 lakh for the massive Rocket III.

    Briefly put, the Triumph range is categorised into Classics, Roadsters, Adventure, Super Sports and Cruisers. The Classic bikes include the Bonneville, Bonneville T100 (Rs 6.6 lakh) and the Thruxton café racer (Rs 6.7 lakh). All three bikes are powered by an 865cc parallel-twin engine with 67bhp at 7500rpm. 

    The Roadster line includes Triumph's naked bikes, namely the Street Triple (Rs 7.5 lakh) that features 675cc, in-line and Triumph trademark three-cylinder, four-stroke and liquid-cooled engine which generates 105bhp at 11850rpm and a peak torque figure of 6.93kgm at 9750rpm. 
     

     

    The Speed Triple (Rs 10.4 lakh) is powered by a larger 1050cc, in-line three-cylinder, four-stroke and liquid-cooled engine that develops 133bhp at 9400rpm. The racy Daytona 675R sports bike makes 125bhp at 12500rpm from its 675cc, three-cylinder engine and is priced at Rs 11.4 lakh.

    Interestingly, Triumph believes there is a strong potential in the adventure bike segment in India and has launched both the Tiger 800XC (Rs 12 lakh), with its 799cc, three-cylinder motor, and the Tiger Adventure (Rs 17.9 lakh) with a 1215cc, three-cylinder engine. 

    For cruiser aficionados, there’s the Rs 13 lakh Thunderbird Storm powered by a 1699cc, parallel twin. The Triumph range is India is capped by the Rocket III that features the largest engine on a production bike – 2294cc, three-cylinder engine and priced at Rs 20 lakh!
