Tata Safari Storme facelift ready for launch

Tata will be releasing a refreshed version of the Safari Storme very soon. It will be launched in the three familiar trims — LX, EX and VX.

Cosmetic changes on the outside include a new grille, restyled bumper, tweaked lamp assemblies and new fog lamp inserts. On the inside, there is an all-black theme unlike the current car’s dual-tone scheme. The wooden inserts have been replaced with silver inserts.

More prominent changes include a self-adjusting clutch and a new steering wheel like the one on the Zest. Higher variants also get a new six-speaker Harman audio system with display screen, USB, aux-in, Bluetooth, and controls mounted on the steering wheel. Other features include rear parking sensors, and centre armrest for rear passengers.

What does come as a letdown is the fact that the Tata Safari Storme is likely to miss out on a few considerable features. The Harman system doesn’t get a touchscreen, there seems to be no climate control, the base trim also seems to lose out on rear disc brakes, ABS and the third row jump seats.

More details about the refreshed Safari Storme to trickle in as the launch date nears.
