Tata Motors slashes prices across range

    Tata Nano range now starts at Rs 1.41 lakh while the Safari Storme is around Rs 45,000 cheaper across variants.

    Tata Motors has revised prices across its entire model range post the reduction of excise duties on automobiles in the 2014 interim budget.
     
    The world’s most affordable car now retails for around Rs 8,000 less and the carmaker's sedan and SUV offerings have received price cuts too.
     
    The Tata Nano price range now starts at Rs 1.41 lakh for the base variant, against the Rs 1.5 lakh earlier, while the top LX trim now costs Rs 2.18 lakh as against the previous Rs 2.24 lakh. The new power steering-equipped Nano Twist XT now retails for Rs 2.31 lakh, cheaper by around Rs 7,000. The Nano CNG LX is priced at Rs 2.58 lakh against the Rs 2.67 lakh earlier.
     
    The Indica eV2 range is now cheaper by around Rs 15,000 for the petrol variants and around Rs 7,000 for the diesel variants. The Indica eV2 GLS retails for Rs 3.85 lakh while the GLX trim is priced at Rs 4.11 lakh. The diesel powered LS variant now costs Rs 4.39 lakh while the LX variant is priced at Rs 4.8 lakh.
     
    The Tata Indigo eCS range now starts at Rs 4.82 lakh against the Rs 4.99 lakh earlier. The entire range is now cheaper by around Rs 15,000 post the excise duty cut and subsequent price revision. The base diesel eCS LS CR4 now costs Rs 5.38 lakh while the top VX CR4 trim is priced at Rs 5.89 lakh.
     
    The Indigo Manza Club Class prices start at Rs 5.85 lakh for the base LS trim and goes up to Rs 8.07 lakh for the top EX trim. Overall, the Manza Club Class is cheaper by around Rs 20,000 across its range. 
     
    The Safari and the Safari Storme have received the biggest price cuts. The Safari range is now cheaper by around Rs 35,000 while the Safari Storme is cheaper by around Rs 45,000 across its range. The Safari LX is now priced at Rs 8.41 lakh while the Safari EX is priced at Rs 9.59 lakh. The Safari Storme base LX variant now costs Rs 9.83 lakh while the top VX 4X4 variant retails for Rs 13.82 lakh.
